My Story

Like many of you, I was frustrated with my weight loss journey. I was spending hours at the gym every week. I was lifting weights, doing cardio, and following workout plans religiously. But the scale wasn’t moving the way I wanted it to.

I felt stuck and confused. How could I be working so hard without seeing results?

The Wake-Up Call

One day, a friend looked at my routine and said something simple but eye-opening: “It must be your diet.”

At first, I was defensive. I eat healthy home-cooked meals. I avoid fast food. I thought my diet was fine. But then I realized something important – I wasn’t paying attention to calories at all.

I learned that calorie deficit is the key to weight loss. You need to burn more calories than you eat. It sounds simple, but tracking it? That’s where it gets tricky.

The Birth of 7 Day Plates

That’s when the idea for 7 Day Plates was born.

I needed tools to help me understand my body better. I wanted to know:

  • How many calories should I eat each day?
  • What’s my BMR (calories burned at rest)?
  • What’s my TDEE (total daily calories burned)?
  • Am I in a calorie deficit?

I started researching and calculating. I tracked my meals more carefully. And guess what? The weight finally started coming off!

Why I Built This Site

I realized I wasn’t alone in this struggle. Many people work hard in the gym but miss the nutrition piece. Others want to lose weight but don’t know where to start with calories.

That’s why I created 7 Day Plates – to share the tools and knowledge that helped me succeed.
